The Making...

Latoya Walker is a self taught Art Infused Fashion Designer based in London.
She has been designing unisex clothes for over 3 years her work is highly influenced by the word Art form rather than Fashion. She likes her work to be viewed in admiroration rather than a sellable point.
All of Latoya’s designs are hand made by her which gives more authenticity to her garments. She hand stitches most of her garments to form a closer relationship in which she uses that energy to manipulate her creations.
She is strongly influenced by Fabrics and Materials itself that’s why she mainly uses that as her starting point rather than pre meditated. The base of it all comes from her passionate relationship with the deep electronic sound ‘Minimal Techno‘ which she manages to incorporates in many ways, as her work combines allot of experimental methods such as hand painted canvas pieces cut for a garment, mixing a varied range of fabrics and textiles to moulding and constructing a piece until it is a un/wearable item. To using methods such as layering, cut and pasting, developing and embedding materials to in twain together.

A few words…
“When people wear my clothes I want them to feel my energy and there own to create a force in which the garment carries”
“The feeling of empowerment from within is far richer than the feeling of selling your soul to fit in”
“There is no gender or hidden agenda to what I do I just enjoy being creative”
